This week we have set handwriting homework. We are working really hard on our handwriting at school and we thought it would be a good idea to show you some of our handwriting joins! Also the children have worked so hard on their writing and Maths this week that they just needed a simple homework to complete this week!
Spellings: assessment – using the suffix -ly when the root word ends in al. The ly spelling words are: comically, actually, eventually, magically, logically, equally, generally and accidentally. The Year 3 words are actual, material, accident and guard. Please ensure you complete the spelling sheet when you hand in your homework.
Reading: remember to read at home at least 4 times a week and ensure that the reading diary is signed at the bottom of the page – reading diaries will be checked on a Monday morning and a raffle ticket will be given to all who have read at least 4 times!
Mental Maths: We have sent home times tables sheets to complete and discuss with your child – they are all doing well with their time table but would benefit from additional practice at home – thank you!
